I have a KDL-40S2010 and my guide explained that the owners of all S2010 series:
1. Disconnect all cables.
2. For a smooth and stable with a fleece.
3. Gently lay face down on television over the Internet. Make sure that the toes to the top board hanging over the edge.
4. Rotate the cable holder 90 degrees, and pull it out completely.
5. The screws (3 or 4 is to remove the back of the cable holder on the wall mounting kit) in order to maintain the table-top stand firmly while removing the last screw.
6. Do not remove any other screws from the TV.
I did not want to remove the basis for any other reason that the wall mounting the TV. Their instructions must use the wall mount kit.
